Bhramari Pranayam :
This Pranayam involves huming like a bee (bhramar). Hence it is known as Bhramari Pranayam.

Procedure: Sit erect in Padmaasana and take a deep  breath, close both ears with the index fingers. Hold the breath for sometimes and while exhaling, hum (Om) in a legato tone just like the humming of a bee. This develops memory power.

Daily comsuption of tulsi brings about a remarkable development in memory power, eliminates intestinal worms, increases the digestive fire, alleviates cold, fever and malaria and prevents diseases like cancer. Therefore, except on Sundays, eat 5-7 tulsi leaves daily in the morning and drink water after that. Tulsi leaves should not be plucked on Purnima, Amavasya, the twelfth lunar day and Sundays.

Easy way to Memorize Faster

  If you need to memorize something, then read it, see it properly and then put the tongue at the palate of the mouth (Talu) and read then read. With this the effort would reduce 20 times. Thing that took couple of hours to memorize could be remembered by just reading 2-3 times by putting the tongue at the palate. To increase the memory power, put the tongue at the palate and put the fingers in Gyan Mudra ( make circle by joining first finger and thumb and have rest of the fingers straight) and take deep breath and chant “hari om” "हरि ॐ". Then count the breath by having the tongue at the palate. This would awaken the dormant powers.

Mamri Badam (Almonds) useful for memory power

 Put 5 Mamri Badam (Mamry almonds) into water in night. In the morning peel those almonds and mix it in mixture of 250 ml water and 250 ml milk. Also add Mishri (candy sugar) and 11 kali Mirch (black pepper).  Boil this mixture till 250 ml is left out. Drink this after chanting “Om Sri Sarswatya Namah”  'ॐ श्री सरस्वत्यै नमः' ! This helps to improve memory power and physical strength.

Sit with your left ankle placed near the anal entry point, similar to as you may sit in Siddhasana. Keep the right ankle on the thighs of left foot and press your chin towards your chest. This is also called as jalandhar bandh. This practice can tremendously improve memory. Close your eyes... take a deep breath... This is also called as Poorak. Then, hold it in... also called as Kumbhak.. then releasing it is called as Rechak, taking in is called poorak... holding it in is called Kumbhak. So, follow the process, Rechak, Kumbhak, Poorak, Kumbhak, Rechak... practice this way. It can done for 15-30 minutes to begin with and can be repeated for upto one hour. This will tremendously increase memory, drive away many hidden ailments in the body and also relieve mental tension completely.
